An American folk rock band, The Lumineers, recently gained popularity since December 2012 with their depute of their first single “Ho Hey.”
The band is made up of three members: main vocalist and guitarist Wesley Schultz, drummer Jeremiah Fraites and Neyla Pekarek is on cello and does vocals as well. The band is based in Denver, Colo. The Lumineers independently self-titled album was released through Daultone Records, which gives them more artistic freedom.
The Lumineers song “Ho Hey” became a hit instantly across America, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. “Ho Hey” reached number one on the “U.S. Hot AC” airplay chart and number two on the “U.S. Top 40 Hits” aired on Kiss FM radio stations with Ryan Seacrest.
The band also ranked high on the alternative charts reaching number one as well. Also, on Spotify, The Lumineers song “Ho Hey” was the most played song. All concerts were sold out immediately after tickets went on sale.
The Lumineers have had a lot of success so far and seem to be at the very peak of their career. This suggests they are in for a bright future and will be reaching number one a lot morezz.
